CleanHut privacy notice
Draft operational notice ยท Version 2026-09-19. Company identity/contact details, final retention schedule and payment-provider disclosures must be completed before production launch.
What we collect
Depending on account type and use, CleanHut processes account/contact details, age-confirmation information, registered and service addresses, verification information, professional profile information, booking scope, quotes, messages, reviews, job records, photos/evidence, complaints/disputes and payment/transaction references.
Why we use it
We use information to create and secure accounts, verify users where required, operate the marketplace and bookings, enable communication at the appropriate stage, process and reconcile payments when connected, prevent misuse, handle complaints and disputes, provide support and meet legal obligations.
Lawful bases
Depending on the processing activity, CleanHut expects to rely on performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and legitimate interests such as platform security, fraud prevention and dispute handling. Where consent is the appropriate basis, it will be requested separately and can be withdrawn as required by law. Any special-category or criminal-offence data requires an appropriate additional legal condition and safeguards.
Who receives information
Information may be shared with the other booking party only to the extent required for the booking, and with service providers supporting hosting, verification, communications and payments. Authorised CleanHut admins may access information needed for their role. CleanHut does not make a customer's registered account address public merely because a booking takes place elsewhere.
When contact and address details unlock
Before booking, professionals receive only the limited location/profile information intended for quoting. Exact service address and booking contact information unlock only at the configured confirmed/paid stage.
Retention
CleanHut will keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute requirements. A final category-by-category retention schedule will be published before production launch.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances and lawful basis, UK data-protection law may give you rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
International processing
If a provider processes personal data outside the UK, CleanHut will identify the transfer and applicable safeguard in the production privacy notice where required.
Contact
CleanHut's final legal entity name, registered/contact address and privacy contact must be inserted before production launch. This draft must not be treated as the finished statutory privacy notice until those details and the final processing inventory are confirmed.
